Basic Concepts. How do I weigh & measure myself?

For measuring your weight you should use electronic or analog scales which have minimum intervals of 100 in 100 g. You should wear only underwear, no shoes, and it is best to always record it at the same time of day and at the same temperature, with the bladder and rectum empty.

Height should be measured without shoes, with the head straight and aligned by following an imaginary line parallel to the floor with the eyes, and in the same surroundings as the weight measurement.

It is considered that the reference figures proposed for a healthy BMI are not valid for children, athletes with a lot of muscle mass and people with a height of less than 1.47 m or greater than 1.98 m.
